Phone Consultation
Jenny loves to get to know her clientele over the phone before your session so that she can ensure she knows exactly what you’re looking for in your family photography session, maternity photography session, or newborn photography session. She will help answer any questions you may have and give you ideas for clothing choices, props, and locations that would best suit your desired outcomes. Full wardrobe sessions are available upon request for a small additional fee. No matter whether you’re having your photo shoot at Jenny’s comfortable photography studio in Dallas, or at an off-site location, she will make sure you and your family are fully prepared!
Our Studio
Many of the dramatic, breathtaking maternity and newborn photos you see in our gallery were taken in Jenny’s professional photography studio in Frisco. The studio contains both natural wood and white flooring, windows that add beautiful ambient light, plus an array of backdrops, lighting, furniture, and architectural elements to help create the perfect atmosphere for your portraits.
On Location
If you prefer, you may choose to have your family or maternity photography done on location. Jenny travels well! Do you prefer an urban setting, a grassy pasture, or a sandy beach? Bring your ideas or ask Jenny for suggestions during your telephone consultation.
Your Photoshoot
By the time your photography session day arrives, we promise you will be fully prepped and stress-free. Jenny will work with you, your baby, and/or your family to ensure you capture beautiful smiles, natural laughter, and stunning portraits that your friends and family will be begging to get copies of! Jenny’s warm demeanor means that you will feel fully relaxed during your shoot, and that safety of you and your family will always be the top concern.
Wardrobe & Props
What should you wear for your photo shoot? Many families like to dress in coordinating colors and fabrics for their portraits. Some clients ask if they should avoid busy patterns but Jenny feels there is no hard and fast rule. Wear what you love and are comfortable in.
Expectant mothers may wear their signature look, be it jeans and boots, or a beautiful dress. Jenny Leigh Photography has an amazing collection of maternity gowns and drapes that you may use during your maternity photography session in our Frisco studio. Be sure to ask about it during your phone consultation if you are interested and you can set a time to come see the collection.
Jenny has a wonderful collection of props for newborn photography. They include baskets, blankets, hats, headbands, and much more. Rest assured that proper sanitation protocols are followed to ensure the safety of your baby.
Hair & Makeup
Before your special photo session, you may wish to have professional hair styling and makeup application. This can be a wonderful way to help you relax prior to your photo shoot. If you would like professional hairstyling and makeup for your maternity photoshoot, let Jenny know during your consultation and she will be glad to arrange this for you.
